DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI
Meeting on arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel. Check in at 12 noon. Rest of the
day free to relax and overcome jet lag. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 02: DELHI
Morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Rajghat (cremation site of
Mahatma Gandhi) and the Red Fort followed by a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk
to visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Afternoon sightseeing of New
Delhi visiting Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb drive past Old Fort, India Gate (War
Memorial, Capitol Buildings and the Parliament House. Also visit Lakshmi Narayan
Temple. Evening free for cultural activities. Overnight at the
hotel
DAY 03: DELHI – JAIPUR
Drive to Jaipur - 'The Pink city' by air-conditioned deluxe car passing through the countryside. On arrival: check-in hotel. Proceed for half day guided city tour
including City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar) etc In evening enjoy a drive around the local streets of Jaipur in the car
and see the local life of a common man. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 04: JAIPUR
Morning excursion to Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Ascend to the fort on a gaily-decorated elephant. Experience the Kingly palace buildings. Evening free for wandering around the bazaars where one can choose from precious gems to a variety of handicrafts. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 05: JAIPUR – AGRA
Drive to Agra, the city of the world famous 'Taj Mahal' - 7th Wonder of the world. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital built by Akbar, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See Darbar-e-Aam, Palaces, Panch Mahal and Taansen Seat etc. Arrive in Agra & check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 06: AGRA – KHAJURAHO
Transfer to railway station for train to Jhansi. Meeting on arrival drive to Khajuraho visiting Orchha enroute and on arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon tour of Western Group of temples including the Kandariya Mahadeo temple - the largest and the most typical example of Chandela architecture. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 07: KHAJURAHO - VARANSI
Morning visit the Southern group of temples. Later transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi - a place where Ganga flows. Meeting on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Evening boat cruise on River Ganges. Overnight at the hotel
DAY 08: VARANSI – DELHI - DEPARTURE
Morning sightseeing tour of the city. Check out at 12 noon. Time free till transfer
to the airport for flight to Delhi. Meeting on arrival and transfer to international
airport for flight to onward destination |
